Rudge is a legendary British motorcycle brand, once favoured by icons like Enzo Ferrari, Sebastian Vettel, and even the royal family. After vanishing during WW2, Rudge is now being revived by Jacob Rudge with a vision to redefine luxury motorcycling while staying true to its 155 year heritage of craftsmanship and innovation. This post shares our purpose, our pressures, and our plans to honour the Rudge name.

Reviving a 155 year old luxury motorcycle company

Rudge is a British heritage motorcycle brand, renowned around the world for craftsmanship, motorsport and Innovation. Once the choice of Enzo Ferrari, Sebastian Vettel, and the British royal family. Unfortunately, Rudge was one of the many sacrifices of WW2 as a result of devoting all manufacturing facilities towards supporting the war effort.

Daniel Rudge founded the brand in 1869, and over 150 years later, Jacob Rudge is bringing it back, with a vision to redefine luxury motorcycling for the modern era.

Our purpose is to revive Rudge to its rightful place at the pinnacle of motorcycle craftsmanship, rekindling the pride of Rudge and British manufacturing that unites generations.

We feel a tremendous amount of pressure to ensure we uphold the standards of the Rudge name. To capture the trust and faith of the current Rudge enthusiasts, providing indisputable evidence of our ability to continue the Rudge legacy, exposing the brand name to the eyes and ears of the modern day, in a direction that would be true to the Rudge name. This will be achieved through timeless design elements, strategic reference to the original motorcycles and rooted British manufacturing.

Our upcoming post will take you behind the scenes of our rebranding journey, showing how we’re breathing new life into a brand with 155 years of history, without losing the craftsmanship and authenticity that make it iconic.
