Michael Strahan Unveils His Own Tailoring Brand
Michael Strahan is stepping up his game in the fashion industry. The NFL Hall of Famer and former New York Giant, who has successfully run his own clothing line for a decade, is now launching a custom men’s tailoring venture. Named the Michael Strahan Design Lab, the new brand will offer bespoke pieces through its online store, which officially launches today, according to Bloomberg.
Once on the site, you’ll be able to order made to measure suits, delivered to your door within just two weeks. To develop this new range, Strahan has teamed up with Custom Wrkshop, a technology platform specialising in clothing personalisation. The collection will offer men’s tailoring at set prices. For example, a two piece suit for $399, a three piece for $499, and sports jackets from $299, according to WWD.
Thanks to Custom Wrkshop’s innovative system, the Michael Strahan Design Lab combines standard sizing with personal touches. Shoppers can customise elements to suit their individual taste, including fabrics, linings, lapel styles, stitching, monograms and more.
“Our mission has always been to make great style accessible and confidence part of everyday life,” Strahan told WWD. “This new platform takes that goal even further. Through the Michael Strahan Design Lab, we’re giving people the freedom to create a suit that reflects their personal style and character, all while maintaining the quality and comfort I expect in my own wardrobe.”
The former New York Giants star first launched his fashion line in 2015 with Constance Schwartz Morini, SMAC Entertainment’s vice president of development and licensing. They also co founded the production company together. Since then, Strahan’s clothing has appeared in retailers such as JCPenney and Dick’s Sporting Goods, and he previously introduced a separate made to measure range through Men’s Wearhouse. Earlier this year, Bloomberg reported that the Hall of Famer also signed a partnership with the United Football League to supply its off field kit.
Beyond tailoring, Strahan has showcased his flair for style through his watch choices. Last year, he wore a Star Trek themed Bethune timepiece at a Knicks game and sported a Patek Philippe Nautilus Travel Time Chronograph 5990/1R 001 at Super Bowl LVII.
Outside the fashion arena, the Good Morning America presenter remains busy. He recently joined Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy’s TGL indoor golf league as a limited partner. Perhaps that collaboration will inspire another clothing line in the future.
